POSITION: Administrative and Project Assistant
We have a great opportunity for a service focused and detail-oriented professional in a growing office. We are water/wastewater engineers who serve our local communities through our professional consulting services. This exciting role will contribute administrative support services, project assistance, and light accounting support for the company and local office.
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC (Full-Time)
POSITION DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW: Successful candidate will perform a variety of duties to help support our team in a growing engineering consulting firm. We are looking for a self-motivated individual willing to take on challenges and see them through. No two days are the same in this role, if you are someone that likes to pivot and change, this is for you. This is an in-office position.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES: The primary roles are general office administration and assisting project engineers with projects. You will also be assisting with internal corporate operations.

General office administration duties include receiving guests, processing mail, preparing packages for shipment, ordering, and maintaining office supplies, performing project database entry, and making deliveries (approximately 40%).

Project assistant duties include generating correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, data entry, drafting, formatting and editing project documents, assisting engineers in every phase of a project, and other electronic documents related to engineering project work (approximately 30%).

Various inter-office and corporate support activities such as accounting support and data entry, occasional office social planning, asset inventory tracking, project management support, and computer/software troubleshooting coordination with outside IT consultants (approximately 30%).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree or bachelor's degree in communications, education, business, or related field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

Familiar with, or able to learn, BQE CORE, our project management tracking and invoicing software.

Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively and take tasks to completion.

Organized and efficient.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exhibit a high level of professionalism.

Capable of moderate lifting (generally 25 pounds or less).

Capable of operating a motor vehicle and must have a driver's license.

Preference may be given to candidates with proven experience in one or more of the following areas:

Microsoft Office 365 applications (including SharePoint administration)
